Expanding Yuli’s Etsy Logo into her dream small business branding

Branding is the overall experience and sentiment of a company, it includes how a brand looks, what it says, and the actions it takes.
A logo is a mark or symbol used to recognize a particular company.
My recent client, Yuli purchased her original logo using Etsy, a global online marketplace, where people come together to make, sell, buy, and collect unique items but she didn’t have additional brand elements such as brand colors or a website. I expanded her branding to include brand messaging, a custom color palette, a Wix website, and a brochure. Yuli’s brand expansion also included a photoshoot, providing her with bespoke images for marketing.

Yuli has over 20 years of experience as an esthetician and was looking to develop her personal brand. I guided Yuli through the brand development process I created, defining the brand experience Yuli wanted to deliver to her clients. This allowed for clarity on her brand’s mission, massaging, and audiences. Then, we collaborated on developing the aesthetic of her brand using Mialnote to build a collaborative mood board, source inspiration, and collect key information.

Color Palette and Pattern
Yuli has four key focus areas for healthy skin care: Cleansing, Retexturing, Correcting, and Preventing.
Those words helped guide the creation of the color palette. A soft pale blue, to represent cleansing. A soft pink like the brightening of rosy cheeks. Light green for renewal. Pale orange for prevention (I thought about sunblock). The pattern also uses these colors and was based on the idea of repeating healthy skin cells while using elements from the logo.

Brochure Design
I expanded Yuli’s logo into a light, vibrant, and youthful personal brand. Crafting Yuli’s branding included developing messaging, a custom color palette, a Wix website, and a brochure. I partnered with local cinematographer Nevin Baker to capture branded photography used throughout Yuli’s marketing materials. Expanding Yuli’s brand from a logo allowed her to gain more brand awareness and a digital presence that has brought her over $4,700 in revenue.
